MPlayer Phonon backend now part of KDE

The MPlayer Phonon backend is now hosted on KDE svn, thanks to Fathi Boudra:
http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/playground/multimedia/phonon-backends/mplayer/

Svn history has been partly keept with the use of Tailor. You can see the KDE bug report for MPlayer backend integration here.

The VLC backend has been on KDE svn for quite some time and Fathi Boudra is maintaining it now.

Thank you very much! These are great news!
Is there any estimated date to get them into regular KDE releases? KDE 4.4? 4.5?

Hm, has the mplayer-buglist been marked as limited access for some reason? I just get a "access denied" when I try to follow the link.

I loved the quarkplayer and intent make a PKGBUILD for AUR and promete then.
And i like recive instructions for a more "traditional" build.
And the VLC Mplayer backends are realy necessary?
I had problems with this backends and i am using the xine backend with no troubles. (except the rmvb files, but they are the hell)
